Asus G50V Review

In Tagline The Republic of Players is currently used by ASUS, to show that the product is targeting the segment of players. However, if Tagline is usually used for graphics cards and motherboards, Asus is also introducing a notebook
whose entry into the family of games. There is, Asus G50V, 15.4-inch laptop, which has the right to the title. Asus designer seems to know how to make the thick feel of the G50 gamers. With dynamic indentation decorated with detail, contrast colors with a combination of black and orange, as the emblem in blue on the logo and the touch panel, make this notebook looks and feels great. We can say this is one of the coolest laptop on the market at the moment.

But, of course, not only to look at what makes this laptop, with the rank of a laptop for gamers. For the cool look, there is a high ckass components used in this notebook, start with the processor used by Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 (2,8 GHz), 4 GB of DDR2 memory, and GeForce 9700GT graphics card with 512MB. ?????? ? Toshiba Qosmio F50 ???. Another charm, which makes this laptop more striking is the presence of a hard disk in the two slots to achieve 600GB capacity, this is the biggest potential in the notebook that I was the test.

Not only in the game, ASUS G50V also offers other facilities which could be said, such as full Bluray optical device connector for HDMI High Definition Audio Video Class and eSATA connection for high speed data transmission. Other facilities to be placed on the notebook, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, webcam and card reader is also available on the Asus G50V and make this laptop is very useful to be used for everything.

Even if your goal simply browsing in your spare time, you do not have to wait, because the Asus G50V provides a unique facility called Express Gate. Familiar with this name? Probably because the site is also planted on the Asus motherboard they produce. In simple terms, Express Gate is a simple operating system based on Linux. There are a few simple applications such as Internet browser, music player and Skype. At boot time to go to the Express Gate is about 5 seconds, so that it becomes an interesting alternative, if you want to make simple calculations without the move to Windows Vista, which requires more time to load.

With all the advantages of the Asus G50V, it does not mean that I do not have any complaints on this laptop. One of the lack of speakers is the quality which is not a maximum. While using ALTEC Lansing as speakers, the sound from the speakers sounded less loud and dry without a bass to feel the effects. The keyboard is also not flexible and the need for additional pressure as compared to other notebook I have tested. And for the 15.4-inch notebook class, size and weight of Asus G50V reaches 3.3 kg, which makes this laptop is above average, and is not convenient for the bypass.
